Ja Morant is one of the NBA’s most electrifying players. But, lately, he’s been caught up in a string of controversies.
Morant was suspended eight games for posting a video showing himself with a gun outside a strip club back in early March. This raised concerns about the type of people that the 23-year-old Murray State product has been surrounding himself with, amidst a few troubling incidents.
Since then, Morant, who stars for the Memphis Grizzlies, has started attending therapy and has taken steps to rejoin the team, which he is expected to do Wednesday.
Ja Morant is expected to return tomorrow vs. the Rockets.

Embattled Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant denies having an alcohol problem.
Morant’s eight-game NBA suspension for appearing to brandish a gun in a strip club on an Instagram Live video concluded Monday and he is expected to return to the court Wednesday night when the Grizzlies play the Rockets.
The NBA All-Star’s IG Live video came days the Washington Post published a lengthy story detailing several confrontations the NBA superstar has had off the court in the past year.
After the strip club video went viral and Morant was suspended, another video spread on social media allegedly showing Morant chugging tequila on an airplane.
Morant told reporters on Tuesday he does not have a problem with his alcohol consumption.
“I don’t have an alcohol problem, never had an alcohol problem,” Morant said.
Hopefully he can stay out of trouble, because he is electrifying to watch.
