Ja Morant’s off-the-court issues this season may have cost him a ton of money.

Two weeks ago, Morant went viral when he flashed a gun during an Instagram live stream.

Morant has since voluntarily stepped away from the team and has yet to return.

On Monday night, it was revealed that Morant was entering a counseling program in Florida With no timetable to return to the court.

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has entered a counseling program in Florida and remains without a timetable on a return to the NBA season, sources told ESPN on Monday.

Morant has been seeking assistance for what he described in a statement as a need “to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being,” and that has taken him out of Memphis on a leave from the team, sources said.

With Morant continuing to miss an extended period of time, he will unlikely make an All-NBA team this season.

If Morant misses out on making the All-NBA team this year, he will not qualify for a 5th-year extension and an extra $39 million in guaranteed money.

It was also recently revealed that Powerade planned to pull their Morant commercials from airing during March Madness.

There’s still a possibility Morant makes an All-NBA team, but the longer he sits out, his chances to make it diminish.
