New York Knicks franchise star Jalen Brunson was all business during their epic title run. Now that the job is done, though, he’s showing a bit more of his personality and sharing his feelings about Victor Wembanyama.
During the Knicks’ championship celebrations on Sunday night following their NBA Finals-clinching victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, Finals MVP Jalen Brunson grabbed the mic and made his feelings about Victor Wembanyama known in no uncertain terms, toasting “F— Wemby!” to the delight of his teammates.

Wemby and Brunson had a few notable clashes during the NBA Finals, with Wemby getting away with a couple fouls on the Villanova alum that many NBA fans and analysts should have been called as flagrants. Wemby also bailed on the postgame handshake line after Game 5.
Brunson averaged 32.6 points, 4.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game across the series to earn Finals MVP honors and dropped 45 points in the clinching Game 5. Wemby, on the other hand, averaged 26.0 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.6 blocks in his first ever NBA Finals.
The budding rivalry between the Knicks and Spurs will certainly continue next seasons as sportsbooks currently have both teams as two of the top four betting favorites to win next season’s championship. The Spurs are currently the favorites at +250, while the Knicks are in fourth at +650.
The New York Knicks championship parade, celebrating the franchise’s first title since 1973, will be held in Manhattan on Thursday, June 18. The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. near Battery Park and moves north along Broadway through the “Canyon of Heroes” to City Hall, where Mayor Zohran Mamdani will present the team with the ceremonial Keys to the City.
