The Chicago Bears’ turbulent start to the NFL season has not gone unnoticed, with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith delivering a scathing assessment of the team’s performance on his show, First Take.

Smith did not mince words, labeling the Bears as “trash” and expressing disappointment in their representation of the Windy City.

He stated, “Let me tell you something right now. The Chicago Bears are trash. Let’s just call it what it is. They are not a good organization. It’s a damn shame they represent the City of Chicago. They stink.”

Bears starting Safety Jaquan Brisker, a second round pick last season, seemed to take notice of Smith’s critique when he liked a tweet on Twitter that featured Smith’s unflattering quote.

The Bears’ season has indeed been a rough one so far, leaving fans frustrated.

Brisker’s decision to like the tweet raises questions about whether he concurs with Smith’s assessment or if he is simply using it as motivation for the remainder of the season.

Despite the team’s struggles, Brisker has shown promise on the field. In the first two weeks of the season, he has accumulated 12 total tackles and two pass breakups.

His performance suggests that he is focused on making a positive impact and helping the Bears turn their season around.
