The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders found themselves in an NFC East dogfight on Sunday with the Eagles emerging victorious to move to 7-1 on the season. This came despite the Eagles’ infamous Tush Push play (aka ‘The Brotherly Shove’) failing for the first time this season and not only did it fail, it resulted in a turnover on the 1-yard line.

On the latest episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce (Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment), the Super Bowl champion bros discuss The Brotherly Shove’s undoing and the silver lining of the play finally being stopped.

Jason Kelce was very obviously (and profanely) disappointed in the ‘Tush Push’ finally getting stopped. It had been an unstoppable play for the Eagles so far this season.

Jason then dives into discussion ‘the exchange’ of the ball. He says “there’s a lot of movement while the ball’s being snapped by the line and in this case with people pushing behind you as well so I think um he just never really had the ball clean and I think that you know we got to make sure that we’re uh securing the the football.”

Kelce says it was very frustrating because he believes they would have scored if the exchange of the ball went smoothly. He also believes the ‘fumble’ being attributed to Jalen Hurts is unfair because Hurts never even got his hands on the ball.

Travis Kelce then chimes in with “think of it this way, now everyone can stop b——- and moaning about how the f—— shove is just soooo unfair.”

It was not lost on them, however, that it was the Philadelphia Eagles themselves who stopped the play and not the Washington Commanders. So it remains to be seen if this will have any impact whatsoever on people discussing the Tush Push play.
