While many people feel bad that over two dozen women got scammed out of over $1.3 million by Daejon Love, the man who pretended to be a player on the San Francisco 49ers, Jason Kelce doesn’t sound like he is one of them.

Like many football fans, Travis and Jason Kelce have become fascinated by alleged NFL fraudster Daejon Love. So, naturally, they decided to talk about it on their New Heights podcast.

Love’s unbelievable statements to women he met on dating apps especially caught the Kelce brothers’ attention. They also enjoyed videos that showed Love working out on the beach and exercising while wearing a 49ers helmet. They also appreciated him sharing a fake contract signing with the 49ers and doing drills with a weighted sled, which wide receivers never do.

Jason Kelce doesn’t understand how so many women got fooled by Daejon Love

The ludicrousness of it all apparently led Jason Kelce to say to his brother on the podcast that “it’s hard to feel bad” for the women who fell for Love’s scam.

“I’ll be honest,” Jason Kelce said. “It’s hard to feel bad when it’s as easy as just Googling. Like, that’s what frustrates me! NFL guys are getting caught up in Ponzi schemes by, like, these very elaborate financial f—— fraudsters, and like, some women are losing a bunch of money ’cause they don’t f—— Google a guy’s name! We just take the word for it?! Or he’s running the routes on a beach?!”

“I just can’t get over, you’re just gonna give $50,000 without Googling the guy’s name and find, like, what happened before this was noteworthy? Like, did he have some internet stuff out fabricated as well? So, if you Googled his name, it would show up,” Jason Kelce added.

“Are women aware that players, even if you’re a practice squad player and you’re like very not well known, typically, those guys were also at least at some point really good college players, and like there’s still like documentation that they are on the team.

Jason Kelce says women have ‘got to be smarter’

“It’s absolutely crazy that someone would do this. I mean we got to be smarter, women,” Jason Kelce continued. “I’m just going to put it out there. We got to be smarter. We got to be able to sniff through this one. Alright? Because I’m telling you, this is what happened. Women are getting money now. They’re moving up the job force.

‘They don’t know, like, men have been getting defrauded with Ponzi schemes and women for a very long time. Like Manti Te’o. This is a tale as old as time for men to be fooled. You need to start as women, now that you’re getting money, you need to understand there are pieces of s— out there that will lie.”
