There’s been a ton of speculation concerning Jason Kelce’s plans for the future since the Eagles wrapped up their most recent season, as the 34-year-old center has refused to dismiss the possibility he might retire after 11 seasons with the team.
It would be fairly hard to blame Kelce for deciding to walk away from football, as he’s had one hell of a career that’s included five Pro Bowl selections and the Super Bowl victory that spawned one of the greatest celebratory speeches in recent memory.
With that said, he’s still a pretty valuable guy to have on your team, and back in January, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni revealed he’s been in constant contact with Kelce to urge him to return and even sent him a couple of kegs of beer in an attempt to sway him.

"I sent him 2 kegs of beer… he's awesome & I've told him how much we want him back… I'll be trying to convince him every single day that I can to come back”

On Wednesday, Kelce teased an announcement was imminent while serving as the guest host on a radio show where he said:
“I’m playing until I’m not. I’m an active player for the Philadelphia Eagles right now. I love my teammates, I love playing in the city. When it’s time to step away, I’ll make that abundantly clear.”
He also confirmed he’d received the kegs and apologized to Sirianni for not publically acknowledging the gift, saying “I’ve been meaning to post something on social media. I’m terrible at that. It was the highlight of the offseason.”
On Thursday, he managed to kill two birds with one stone by posting a video where he poured some beer from one of the kegs, took a couple of swigs, and confirmed “I’m definitely not retiring from playing for the Philadelphia Eagles.”
