Jason Sudeikis and Sue Bird are in the middle of a college basketball bender. They are, apparently, very good friends.

Who knew?!

Their incredible weekend of hoops began with the men’s game between Kansas and UConn on Friday night at the Phog. Jason Sudeikis is from the Sunflower State. Sue Bird is a Huskies legend.

Sudeikis actually took the court alongside Bill Self prior to tipoff. He reminded the legendary coach that he still has some eligibility left after draining a few triples!

The game got underway a few hours later and Allen Fieldhouse was fired up for the top-five matchup.. Bird had to tell Sudeikis to chill as he got fired up in the stands.

Sudeikis did not chill. At all. Not even a little bit.

The four-time Emmy Award winner started by playing the drums with Kansas’ band.

And then he got in on the action alongside the Jayhawks cheerleaders!

Kansas eventually went on to win by four in a thriller. Bird and Sudeikis got a quick night’s sleep before they hit the road (or probably in the air via private jet) and headed north to the University of Iowa.

Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes had a home game and the two schools are not far from each other so it made sense to go ahead and make it a weekend. They sat courtside at Carver-Hawkeye arena.

Midway through the second quarter, the jumbotron cut to Sudeikis. After some initial resistance, he stood up and cut a rug in true Ted Lasso fashion with a big smile on his face!

Iowa went on to defeat Bowling Green by 34. Bird, Sudeikis and Clark chopped it up after the game.

What a trio!

It is entirely unclear as to how Sudeikis and Bird’s epic college basketball weekend came to be, but it couldn’t be more awesome. They brought the good vibes to both wins!
