Daniel Jones and the New York Giants got off to a miserable start in the 2024 NFL season. Looking completely inept on offense, the G-men mustered just six points while losing by three touchdowns to Minnesota.

The story of the day was Jones’s subpar performance as he completed just 52% of his passes with a pair of interceptions. It’s a scene that’s become all too familiar for Giants supporters.

Jones landed a massive extension after leading New York to the playoffs in 2022. Since, he’s thrown more pick-sixes to defenders than touchdowns to teammates.

Boos rained down in MetLife Stadium as the Giants failed to provide the home crowd with anything to cheer for. After the game, the scene got worse.

A few New York fans camped out outside the venue waiting for Daniel Jones to exit the locker room. When he did, the quarterback was viciously ridiculed.

The fans are rightfully frustrated, but one Giants OL believes they took their criticisms too far.

Jermaine Eluemunor blasted New Yorkers for berating Daniel Jones.

Today didn’t go as expected I get it, but this is WACK AF. As someone who’s dealt with and still fights depression and confidence issues this needs to stop. It’s okay be upset as a fan but to come to the player entrance and act this way is inhumane. We will be better, this needs to be better also.

Eluemunor understands the anger, but he believes it was expressed in the least productive way possible.

The guard made his first start with the Giants on Sunday and is getting an inside look at the emotional fanbase for the first time. This particular reaction was viewed as extreme, and he was quick to back his new teammate.

Eluemunor vowed to show offensive improvement in Week 2. That will start under center with Daniel Jones.
