Grace Harbaugh, daughter of college football coach Jim Harbaugh, is among the many Michigan fans who are laughing their way to the national championship. She offered a very blunt message to the haters on her Instagram story after a statement win over Alabama in the Rose Bowl on Monday.
Whether you’re willing to admit it or not, the Wolverines have had a difficult season. Not in terms of their relatively easy regular season schedule and Big Ten Championship opponent, but in terms of adversity.
Their coach was suspended for half of the year. He missed three games off of the top as part of a self-imposed suspension for lying to the NCAA about a (pretty insignificant and dumb) recruiting violation.
While buying a recruit a burger during the COVID-19 dead period shouldn’t be that big of a deal, Harbaugh did not own up to his mistake. That was the issue.
And then Jim Harbaugh was suspended for the final three games of the regular season by the Big Ten for allowing the sign-stealing scandal to take place under his watch. His involvement is unclear.
All of the shenanigans surrounding Michigan led college football fans to root against the team all year, if they weren’t already. The haters, of which there are many, prayed for Harbaugh’s downfall.
It has not come — yet. Grace’s father and what she deemed the ‘Evil Empire’ got the last laugh!
Regardless of how mad Grace’s post might make you, her laugh is well-deserved. The Wolverines are one win away from an undefeated, national championship season in a year where all of the odds (except for their weak regular season schedule) were stacked against them!
