The Cincinnati Bengals were unable to overcome the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North showdown on Sunday Night Football. It was a tough day for Joe Burrow, as Baltimore wasn’t letting anything get past them. After the ugly loss, Cincinnati’s star quarterback may have revealed the blueprint for how to beat him and his team.

According to B/R Gridiron, Burrow had one of the worst performances of his career so far. The Ravens’ defense held him to just 217 yards, one touchdown, and one interception off of 24 completions. Joe Burrow finished the Sunday night matchup with “just one pass of 20-plus air yards and averaged a career-low 4.0 air yards per attempt.”

However, during the postgame interview, the Bengals quarterback opened up about what he saw from the Ravens’ defense, per Ben Baby. Joe Burrow states, “There’s just nothing down the field if teams are going to play us like they did today.”

Considering Burrow and the Bengals let it fly often in the 2021 season, it shouldn’t be a shock for teams to gameplan for that this year. Regardless, Joe Burrow very well could have just revealed the game plan on how to defeat Cincinnati.

After seeing Burrow and his teammates struggle offensively, opponents are sure to watch what Baltimore did on Sunday night. The Bengals have been a roller coaster so far this season. They must find a way to get the deep ball rolling again, otherwise, this franchise could be in trouble.

Look for the New Orleans Saints to potentially utilize the same defensive game plan as the Ravens in Week 6. If they can do that, then Joe Burrow’s admission could bite his team in the butt moving forward.
