When Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow met with members of the media on Wednesday, it was plain to see how much the tragic situation surrounding Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin was still affecting him and his teammates.

Burrow was still visibly shaken and revealed that he and the Bengals would only restart their game against the Bills if Buffalo wanted to.

I think whatever Buffalo would want to do, would be what we would want to do as well. We’re behind them 100 percent and support them in whatever they would decide to do going forward.”

But that wasn’t the biggest takeaway from his press conference. The Bengals are also preparing for an AFC North showdown with the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.

It will be the last game of the regular season for Cincy assuming the Bills game is not rescheduled. But it appears there’s a chance that game is not played either.

Burrow and his teammates have tried to refocus since the Hamlin incident. But it hasn’t been easy.

“Unfortunate as it is, we got a game to play on Sunday,” Burrow said. “As unusual as this week has been, it’s business as usual from a football standpoint, unfortunately.

There have even been discussions among some players about not playing against Baltimore.

“I’m sure if you polled the locker room there’d be mixed votes on that,” Burrow said of not playing against the Ravens. “Personally, I think is going to be tough, but there’s people that want to play, too, and there’s people that don’t. Personally, I probably want to play. I think getting back to as normal as you can as fast as you can is personally how I kind of deal with these kinds of things. Like I said, everyone has a different way of dealing with it.” – via CBS Sports

Cincinnati currently sits third in the AFC and atop the AFC North. While Baltimore sits sixth, in the second Wild Card spot. Both could move up with the right results. While Baltimore could conceivably jump Cincy to win the AFC North if the Bengals were to lose against the Ravens
