  • The Cincinnati Bengals are headed to the franchise’s first Super Bowl since 1989.
  • Led by second-year quarterback Joe Burrow, the Bengals have become the darlings of the postseason.
  • Already lauded for his coolness, Burrow’s most recent comments about the big game should only further terrify the Rams and their fans.

In just his second season in the NFL, Joe Burrow — the first overall pick in the 2020 draft — has led the Cincinnati Bengals to their first Super Bowl in over three decades.

Burrow has not only climbed to the top of the NFL due to his physical on-the-field talent, though, as the former LSU QB has been lauded for his general sense of coolness and swagger.

Despite the fact that Burrow is heading into the biggest game of his life next weekend, “Joey Franchise” has maintained the sense of collected calm that’s gotten him to this stage, as he recently referred to the lead up to the Super Bowl as “just another week.”

“It really doesn’t. Coming into this week, game prep, it just feels like another week,” the 25-year-old Burrow told reporters this week. “Obviously it’s the Super Bowl and we’re gonna have to try to eliminate as many distractions as we can, but it feels normal.”

While tons of quarterbacks have expressed similar cliches in the past, because it’s Burrow, you believe him.

To earn their ticket to Super Bowl LVI, Burrow and the Bengals took down the Las Vegas Raiders at home before heading on the road to defeat the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

With over a week to go until Super Bowl LVI — which will be played at California’s SoFi Stadium on Sunday, February 13 — the Los Angeles Rams are currently favored over the Bengals by four points.
