There’s nothing quite like going out for a round of 18 with some close friends and a case of beer.

However, for pro golfer Joel Dahmen, it sounds like he had a bit too much fun back when he was playing in the Korn Ferry Tour.

During an interview with Pardon My Take, Dahmen recalls an epic drinking story during his time in the minor leagues.

What makes it great, is that he fully believed he was cut from the tournament and went out drinking, only to find out he was playing early that next morning. Here he is sharing his story.

The fact Joel Dahmen made 10 birdies while completely hungover is beyond impressive. That’s a better round than most people have ever played sober.

Not only that, but he went from thinking he was barely making the cut to being in fifth place in the blink of an eye.

Even Cameron Smith failed to capitalize on his hungover play during the Australian Open.

This just makes us wonder exactly how many hilarious drinking stories there are in professional golf. There’s a chance these guys party harder than most professional athletes.

Either way, it’s entertaining to hear stories like this. Especially now that Joel Dahmen plays in the PGA Tour.

Shoutout to Dahmen for pulling through when it mattered most. You can learn a lot about a guy who’s capable of pulling off hungover feats like this one.
