New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh is going viral for an uninspiring speech
It’s been a strangely tumultuous offseason for the New York Giants, as their two star second-year players, Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo, found themselves at the center of some controversy. Their new head coach John Harbaugh hasn’t set the world on fire thus far, either.
First came quarterback Jaxson Dart, who decided to shine a political spotlight on the organization by introducing President Trump at a rally, prompting a critical response from Abdul Carter and weeks of headlines.
Then, at Fanatics Fest over the weekend, running back Cam Skattebo — who NFL fans already mock as someone who seems like they “eat crayons” — attempted a failed backflip on stage. Skattebo is recovering from an open tibia fracture, a dislocated right ankle, a fractured fibula, and a ruptured deltoid ligament that he suffered in late October.

Their new head coach, John Harbaugh, had a Dad-joke response to Skattebo’s backflip, saying “Dude, at least land it” if you’re going to attempt it.
Harbaugh brought that same suburban soccer dad energy to a speech he gave to the Giants at OTAs, which has been going viral on social media for all the wrong reasons.

“Harbaugh couldnt inspire me to play dead in a zombie movie,” one viral tweet joked.
“John Harbaugh really didn’t have anything prepared 😂 Such a bad look,” a second critiqued.
“Not going to lie, I just got Matt Eberflus vibes watching this,” a third added.
“This speech is the equivalent to replacing your morning coffee with clam chowder,” a fourth cracked.

Harbaugh’s first game as the head coach of the New York Giants will be a primetime matchup at home on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys on September 13.
