Former UFC fighter Jon Jones has weighed in on the viral body camera footage of Dustin Poirier getting arrested at the Atlanta Airport. In the video, Poirier said the N-word and challenged a police officer to a fight.

Dustin Poirier, also a former UFC fighter, was taken into custody on Sunday after an incident at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in which he allegedly became disruptive after being denied boarding a Delta Air Lines flight.

Atlanta Police Department officers were called to Delta Gate D36 at approximately 4:50 p.m. on June 21 in response to reports of an intoxicated passenger who had been refused entry onto Delta Flight 1295.

“Wanted to write and tell my n—- Justin [sic] Poirier to keep your head up, life happens. This too shall pass. Just keep yourself busy my man, it helps,” Jones tweeted.

Jones also said that Poirier has an “N-word pass” because he said it “so smooth.”

“Absolutely. Said that s— so smooth. I literally took zero offense. 😂” he replied to a fan who asked if Porier has an ‘N word pass.’

After his arrest, Poirier was taken to the Clayton County Jail and charged with public intoxication.
