UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is happy about Colby Covington’s demise.
Last week, Jones trashed Covington for bringing up Edwards’ dead father during the leadup to their UFC 296 fight.
“Colby (Covington) is by far the most heinous human being I’ve ever encountered in my life. I won’t even get into personal stories, he’s an absolutely terrible human being.”
Over the weekend, Edwards dominated Covington in a one-sided fight, and Jones wants to reward him.
On Monday, Jones tweeted out that he’s down to buy Edwards any motorcycle he wants for beating Covington.
“Leon Edwards , I couldn’t be more happy for you. As an American champion in this game, I salute you, that was truly a job well done. Let me know if I can gift you a motorcycle or something for Christmas. Feel like I owe you one🙂”

Jones has not liked Covington for quite some time. A few years ago, Jones blasted Covington for being a “habitual liar” and a “really bad person.”
“Colby’s a habitual liar at the end of the day,” Jones said. “He really is. He told the fans that we lived together for two years. We lived together for one semester. I’ve made a lot of mistakes and a lot of people don’t consider me a good person, but coming from me, Colby’s a really bad person. He really is. He really, really is.”
