After the UFC moved their entire event from Vegas to Los Angeles because the Nevada State Athletic Commission refused to give him a license due to some discrepancies with his previous failed drug test, Jon Jones made quick work of Alexander Gustaffson at UFC 232 and became the light heavyweight champion with a third round TKO.
After the fight, Jones called out longtime rival Daniel Cormier, who was forced to relinquish the light heavy welt belt before tonight’s UFC 232.
I know there’s a guy whose been calling himself champ champ, what guy gives up himself belt because somebody else made it home. Daddy’s home D.C. Prove to the fans you’re a champ champ come get a taste. I’m here.
Cormier didn’t seem to impressed by Jones’ win tonight.
I mean shit , he should win! Dude starts with a head start everytime #usadafake #jonnybrasco

Cormier is probably going to fight Brock Lesnar next but it’s only a matter of time before he and Jones meet again in the octagon considering how heated things have been between the two for the past year or so.
