Last week, NBA fans understandably went wild after a video of Draymond Green attempting to punch Jordan Poole into another dimension surfaced shortly after we learned the two men had been involved in an “altercation” that the team initially tried to downplay to a retroactively wild degree.
Steve Kerr seemed more concerned with the fact that the clip was leaked in the first place than the fact that one of his star players hit his own teammate with what many people viewed as a sucker punch, and while Green (who apologized for the incident over the weekend) didn’t participate in Sunday’s preseason matchup between the Lakers and Golden State, Poole made it clear he wasn’t adversely impacted by letting his play do the talking.

The Warriors have done everything in their power to try to put the miniature scandal behind them as the team continues to gear up to kick off the regular season next week. However, there still may be plenty of work to be done behind the scenes based on what one journalist recently had to say.
A Warriors insider said Jordan Poole has not talked to Draymond Green since being punched at practice
On Monday’s installment of the Locked on NBA podcast, longtime sportswriter Cyrus Saatsaz address the current state of the franchise and provided a fairly worrying update, saying:
“I’ve had sources tell me that behind the scenes, Jordan Poole has not forgiven Draymond. They haven’t spoken, and he’s not happy.
I don’t know how you could be. It’s a horrible look. The image of it is awful. It’s borderline emasculating…I rarely say ‘I don’t know’ when it comes to the Warriors; I don’t know what’s going to happen here.”
It’s fairly obvious Kerr is doing everything in his power to avoid making Green miss any meaningful playing time, and while there’s obviously no way to know if suspending him would placate Poole, it seems like there’s some serious potential for things to be very awkward in the locker room until this situation sorts itself out.
