This latest college football controversy, if that’s what you want to call it, stems from a recent vacation to Turks and Caicos. Seaton’s girlfriend has deleted the viral video that sparked widespread dialogue about his use of funds.

I don’t really know why it took so long for people, myself included, to find this vacation video. It might be because Seaton’s girlfriend does not have that many followers on social media, relatively speaking. She is not a big name in terms of internet clout (yet) so the video flew completely under the radar. Nobody knew to look for it. I don’t know!
It could also be that neither he nor she went public with the relationship until recently. They have been pretty hush hush about it. The algorithm did not give them the same boost as other college athletes, and their girlfriends, who might have a bigger presence on the internet. I digress.
Jordan Seaton went on vacation to Turks and Caicos with Mariyah Lynns (I am not sure whether that is her legal name) over the 4th of July holiday break. She posted a video on TikTok prior to their trip that eventually went viral nearly three weeks later.
It featured no less than $20,000 in Goyard luggage. She danced in front of the camera with three designer bags on her arms. He danced behind her with one bag on each arm. Whether they choose to admit it or not, she was intentionally flaunting his wealth.
According to multiple reports, Seaton is getting paid no less than $4 million at LSU. Critics were quick to question why he would buy such a costly gift for his girlfriend of only a few months and, if we’re being honest, boosters probably weren’t thrilled to see where their money is going. It was a classic case of pocket watching from multiple angles.
Who purchased the Goyard bags?
Technically speaking, Jordan Seaton purchased the leather bags. However, he is getting paid by Louisiana State University through the revenue share program and by outside third-party entities. If we follow the paper trail, the Tigers paid Seaton to buy the bags.
But that is not how this works! Seaton’s money is his own. He is allowed to spend his own money how he wants. He can buy designer bags for his girlfriend of only a few months if he wants to buy designer bags for his girlfriend of only a few months.
Apparently, that is not what happened!
Seaton claims that he did not buy the Goyard bags for his girlfriend. They are his bags. The bags did not cost $50,000. It was not that serious.
“Since people are creating their own narratives, let me clear this up. The bags in that video are mine. We made a fun video to a trending sound nothing more. Nobody spent ‘$50k’ on anybody. Before y’all start labeling people or spreading false stories, remember social media isn’t real life but yall worried about what I do and who I do it with shit lame! I work my ass off daily for the things I want and need May God bless yall ALL!”
Whether you choose to believe Seaton purchased the bags for himself or not is entirely up to you. Either way, the video does not reflect well on how his girlfriend views their relationship. The very first time that she posted him on her main TikTok feed featured his $20K designer bags. That seems like a potential red flag to me.
