Now that Aaron Rodgers is a member of the New York Jets, the yearly clashes between Gang Green and the Buffalo Bills just became a whole lot more interesting.

Rodgers’ Jets and Josh Allen’s Bills are expected to be two of the main contenders in the AFC next season, which means the two games that the teams are scheduled to play next season will likely be crucial matchups.

Allen certainly sounds like he’s reveling in the opportunity to face off against the future Hall of Famer, as he recently detailed how much of a fan he is of Rodgers.

“I am [looking foward to having Aaron Rodgers in the AFC East]. I’ve gotten to know Aaron over the last couple of years and I consider us fairly close,” Allen said during a recent interview with The Ringer.

“I’ve been such a fan of him as little kid. Having Aaron Rodgers jerseys and trying to emulate what he does on the football field. He’s such a special player. I think he’s the most gifted thrower of the football of all time. To now be going up against him twice a year, it’s going to be a battle.”

Heading into the 2023 season, both the Bills and the Jets are among the betting favorites to win next season’s Super Bowl, which just goes to show how much Rodgers is expected to improve the Jets, who haven’t qualified for the playoffs since the 2010 season, which makes them the owner of the longest active postseason drought in the National Football League.

The first matchup between the Jets and the Bills will actually be their first game of the season as the two teams will be going head-t0-head in a Monday Night Football matchup at Metlife Stadium on September 11. Currently, with over two months until the start of the 2023 NFL season, the Bills are -1.5 favorites, according to bookies.
