If you were a fan of Josh Hamilton, you probably won’t be after this.

The former American League MVP was indicted on a felony charge for injury to a minor on Monday stemming from an October arrest involving his 14-year-old daughter.

According to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the 38-year-old voluntarily turned himself into the police and remains free on $30,000 bail.

Jozelyn Escobedo of ABC 8 WFAA detailed a scary rampage from October that devolved after Hamilton’s daughter made a comment her father didn’t like.

When interviewed by Child Protective Services, his daughter told the interviewer that Hamilton started to assault and throw things at her after she made a comment that upset him, records show.

The former baseball player is accused of throwing a full water bottle that hit his daughter in the chest. Hamilton then pulled a chair from under his daughter and threw it at her, a warrant says.

Hamilton then allegedly took his daughter to a room, pinned her to a bed and repeatedly hit her on the back and legs, according to an arrest warrant.

She said that after he finished hitting her, he told her, “I hope you go in front of the f’ing judge and tell him what a terrible dad I am so I don’t have to see you anymore and you don’t have to come to my house again.”

Hamilton’s attorneys say the Rangers Hall of Famer is innocent, but if convicted, Hamilton faces a prison sentence of two to 10 years in prison.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
