Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos will be returning to the cage soon to take on former foe Fabricio Werdum in bareknuckle in MMA.

The rematch is set to take place in Jacksonville, Florida at the Vystar Veteran’s Memorial Arena under Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred FC bareknuckle MMA promotion.

We spoke to JDS about his upcoming fight vs Werdum and he’s excited to get into the cage again to fight someone many fans have been wanting to see him fight for a second time.

“I think that’s the most exciting fight I could have right now at the moment, everybody has been talking about making this fight happen again throughout all these years, we had some opportunities in the UFC but it never happened, so now Jorge Masvidal is making it happen here in Florida…it’s a great moment to face each other again and give people want they want to see”

The fight will be a bareknuckle MMA fight which JDS doesn’t think is going to be much different than a regular MMA fight except for the fact that it’s going to be a bit bloodier.

“There is nothing different actually, just a little bit more blood in the fight because everytime you hit the face you’re going to open cuts or things like that and I’m not afraid of blood, so let’s go”
