A couple of weeks ago, Netflix released a new series that gave football fans an inside look at the lives of NFL quarterbacks during the season.

That series has already generated enough interest that they’re looking to make a second season.

It seems they may have a tough time finding QBs to follow the second time around.

Justin Fields revealed to reporters today that he was planning to turn down an offer to be in the second season of the show.

“Just having cameras around the building, I think that might change the vibe of everyone,” Fields said via Shaw Local News Network. “I just want to keep it natural and organic and really just focus on what’s going on in the building.”

Fields would actually have been a pretty interesting quarterback to follow in the 2nd season.

The first season followed an MVP, an under-appreciated veteran, and a veteran fighting for their job.

Fields is in a very different situation from Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota.

The Bears traded up to pick 11 to select Fields two years ago in the hopes he would be the franchise QB they’ve rarely had.

So far, he hasn’t been able to make the team competitive.

Year 1 was a mess. The Bears couldn’t protect him and didn’t have a particularly impressive group of pass catchers, but threw him into the starting lineup early anyway. Unsurprisingly, he struggled.

Year 2 went better and Fields had a stretch of the season where he showed off just how dynamic of a player he can be for the Bears. Unfortunately, the team still only won 3 games.

Now the Bears have gotten Fields some weapons to throw to and drafted some protection.

Fields will need to continue showing improvement this season or the team could end up looking at other options some time in the near future.

With that to worry about, it’s not all that surprising that Justin Fields isn’t too interested in being a part of “Quarterback”.
