Defensive lineman Justin Scott is one of the most prized prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle. The 310-pound big man has already pledged his commitment to Ohio State, giving the Buckeyes one of the top players in the class.

Scott is considered a five-star recruit by the majority of the top services, ranking as a Top 10 player according to 24/7 Sports.

But did you know he plays both sides of the ball?!

Now, typically, a defensive lineman might double as an offensive blocker along the front five for his high school squad, which actually is the case for Scott.

2022: Played both ways as a junior with extensive snaps at left guard and multiple D-line spots.

When he’s not creating gaps or protecting his quarterback, though, he’s getting touches himself. Clips of Scott lining up in the backfield are now going viral on TikTok.

The big man is a load to take to the ground, and not only is he running through would-be tacklers, but he can also dance around them using some nimbleness and sweet feet.

He’s almost impossible to wrap up, and he’s got a little burst, too!

Those that have followed Scott throughout his football (and basketball) career might not be surprised.

Here’s more from On3 Sports about his insane athleticism.

Justin Scott’s first passion was basketball. He grew up playing the sport, traveling all over the country in the spring and summer on the AAU circuit… Scott developed into one of the nation’s top recruits, and he had his first scholarship offer after playing in only two varsity games. “He has a gifted size and athleticism, so as he develops in the weight room and on the field, he is going to be so much better,” [head coach Matt] Miller said. “Justin is unique because of his size and skill, and he is only going to get better.”

That said, his future is certainly on the defensive side of the ball, as he can use that skillset just as easily to get off blocks as he can to find the endzone.

Still, maybe we’ll see him get a few touches at running back in Columbus, at least down near the goal line.
