It was a guarantee that Juwan Howard was going to serve some sort of suspension after punching a Wisconsin assistant coach on Sunday afternoon. The only question was how long would the Michigan head coach be suspended.
According to Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports, Michigan has suspended Howard for the remainder of the regular season. He will, however, be able to return to the bench for the Big Ten tournament, and the NCAA Tournament, if the Wolverines get into the big dance.
Video of the handshake line following Michigan’s loss catches Howard saying “I’ll remember that sh-t” while trying to avoid Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard. Gard then put his hand on Howard to stop and explain the situation, fast-forward about 15 seconds and a Wisconsin assistant was catching a hand across his face.
This all stemmed from Gard calling a timeout with less than 30 seconds to play as Michigan was running a full-court press. Howard didn’t appreciate the timeout call, to put things lightly.
Here's really good raw video of the aftermath of #Michigan and #Wisconsin. You can clearly hear Juwan Howard say "I'll remember that" to Greg Gard prior to the altercation.

Weak. He should’ve been gone the rest of the season. https://t.co/iQ7cvANHT0
