Five-Star Recruit Teases Flip To Arkansas With Not-So-Subtle Shoutout To Frozen Chicken Tycoon

Karter Knox decommitted from Kentucky shortly after John Calipari left to become the head basketball coach at Arkansas. It appears as though he might be following the former Wildcats head coach to Fayetteville.

If his new Instagram bio is any indication, the younger brother of Kevin Knox will be a Razorback.

Mind you, “if” is the key word here. Social media does not really mean anything. However, the not-so-subtle change certainly seems to say everything that needs to be said.

Knox, a five-star recruit in the Class of 2024 and McDonald’s All-American, initially committed to big bro’s former school over 10 other offers from Louisville and Auburn, among others. Calipari was instrumental in his decision.

Thus, when he left Big Blue Nation to Call The Hogs, Knox decommitted from the latter.

Now three days later, a unique change to his Instagram bio is very telling. It reads “CHICKEN MAN” with a chicken emoji.

Knox is (probably) alluding to recent happenings with prominent Arkansas booster John Tyson. Tyson, heir to the Tyson Foods throne, previously served as CEO of the “protein-focused food company” that is best known for its chicken. Tyson Foods is based out of Arkansas and Tyson himself is an Arkansas fan.

He was instrumental in getting Calipari to Fayetteville. So much so that Razorbacks fans gave Tyson a massive ovation at their new head basketball coach’s introductory press conference.

Arkansas essentially leveraged frozen chicken into one of the most earth-shattering moves in college basketball history. Tyson also made a significant promise to help boost the school’s NIL fund.

If you want to believe that Knox adding “CHICKEN MAN” to his bio is a coincidence, be my guest. I am going to go ahead and say that it means he will soon commit to play for Calipari with the Hogs.

Perhaps Tyson’s NIL fund bump played a role…?
