Kayla Simmons is an absolute superstar.
But it’s right about now that you may just find yourself asking: “who is Kayla Simmons?”

Simmons starred at Marshall University as a setter on the volleyball team from 2014-2017. She had over 1,5000 assists in her first three years for the Thundering Herd.
But Simmons opted not to pursue a pro career. Instead, she turned her focus to other interests, including modeling. Her decisions turned out to be a pretty lucrative one.
Simmons who recently surpassed the one million follower mark on Instagram and is making a name for herself as a social media influencer.
She began doing so during her college career. But Simmons said that Marshall wasn’t overly supportive of the path she had chosen.
“Being a former college athlete and growing up around sports has taught me to push myself to the limit,” Simmons said in 2019 while applying to a spot in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. “College athletics was a great experience for me, but it also taught me some valuable lessons. I was told by my school administrators that the pictures I post are inappropriate because of my body, I was even asked to delete my Instagram at one point. I was torn bc I felt I couldn’t embrace my body & play the sport I love. I’ve since learned that you can’t let other people affect how you feel about yourself.”
But Simmons hasn’t entirely left the sport of volleyball behind. In fact, she showed off her skills in her most recent viral Instagram clip.
She teamed up with “Out Of System” volleyball content creators to film a clip of her putting up a perfect bump off of her backside to set up a spike.
“Glad I could help,” Simmons said of the shot. The video already has nearly 7,000 likes and over 100 commnets in jutst one day.
