Kendrick Perkins Rips Into Steve Kerr For Criticizing Anthony Davis For Holding The Pelicans Hostage

If you have a problem with Anthony Davis treating the Pelicans organization like a redheaded stepchild with braces and bolting for Lala land, do not bring it up around Kendrick Perkins.

In the latest episode of The Warriors Insider Podcast, Steve Kerr criticized Davis for failing to play out his existing contract in New Orleans and forcing a trade to the Lakers in the middle of last season.

Kerr told NBC Sports Bay Area’s Monte Poole that “it’s a little disturbing that there has been some action that happens before contracts are up, where teams are sort of held hostage.”

Perkins, who has become an unlikely respected NBA talking head, went in on the Warriors head coach for his perceived hypocrisy.

It should be noted that Paul George demanded a trade a month ago just two years after he demanded a trade from the Pacers.

I’m having trouble finding any untruths in this rant.

The conversation then shifted to questioning Steve Kerr’s coaching prowess by using Mark Jackson and Luke Walton as benchmarks.

Yeah, Walton may have gone 20-1 in the interim, but only one man dropped the greatest interview line of the 2018-2019 NBA season.

Kerr’s good in my book.
