It’s no secret that the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant went through some trade drama throughout the offseason. After all of the commotion, Durant ended up staying in Brooklyn. We’ll see how the upcoming season plays out, as the roster is still incredibly stacked. however, teammate Markieff Morris may have delivered the funniest take about the trade drama we’ve ever heard.
Markieff Morris Shares Hilarious Take About The Kevin Durant-Nets Trade Drama
According to Nets Videos, Morris compared Durant’s situation with the franchise to dating. We’ve all been there. Couples break up all the time just to get back together. Well, Markieff Morris hilariously uses himself and his wife as a prime example of what Kevin Durant and the Nets are going through.

Is that not the best take ever? The accuracy is just spot on. We’re sure Brooklyn would rather continue their relationship with Durant to go smoothly from here on out though. Especially considering he’s under contract until the 2025-26 season.
The Nets are in win-now mode and they need their star players to shine. We’ve barely seen Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving playing together. So them becoming more acclimated with one another could bring maximum success to Brooklyn. At least that would be the best-case scenario. Either way, we’re still laughing at Markieff Morris’ take.
