Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson is under fire for celebrating a calf injury that could keep Denver guard Jamal Murray off the floor.

The reaction came during an episode of Undisputed where Johnson discussed the NBA Playoffs alongside Skip Bayless and Paul Pierce.

Bayless brought up the setback on Monday morning ahead of the Nuggets‘ upcoming matchup with the Lakers. With a win, Denver can close out the first round series as it looks to continue its NBA title defense.

The task of securing the seven-game set, though, would be made more difficult should Murray be unable to suit up. As of now, the star guard considered questionable for Game 5.

Here’s how Keyshawn Johnson reacted to hearing that status.

He’s gotten immediate blowback from the celebration of Murray’s injury, made worse by the fact that Johnson, himself, made a living as a professional athlete.

Keyshawn Johnson has made it onto my list. Such gross behavior from him.”

That’s lame by Keyshawn Johnson. NEVER CHEER FOR INJURIES.”

As a former athlete, how could Keyshawn Johnson be happy about an injury?”

“Wow… There are some things you just don’t do.”

Former NFL running back Doc Holliday responded to the “reprehensible” reaction with an online post summing up how most viewers feel about the “disgusting” commentary.

Johnson, an LA native, is hoping for a Lakers win, but this masterclass in “how not to handle the situation” is landing well-deserved attention.

We’ll see if an apology comes from the Undisputed crew after seeing this clip go viral. Hopefully, Murray is able to suit up against Keyshawn’s wishes.
