This is your feel-good story of the day. Facebook user Kimberly Jones posted a video earlier this week of her son tearfully expressing how he was bullied at school has gone viral. The youngster busts into tears as he explains how his classmates mercilessly ridicule him, but Keaton Jones may have the last laugh. Especially when he is at a Titans game and rooting his new friend, Tennessee tight end Delanie Walker.
Walker was one of the 12 million people who saw the viral video on Facebook and was touched by the crying youngster who has tormented by kids at his school. “For the record, Keaton asked to do this AFTER he had he me pick him up AGAIN because he was afraid to go to lunch,” Kimberly wrote on her Facebook. “My kids are by no stretch perfect, & at home, he’s as all boy as they come, but by all accounts he’s good at school.” Jones asked fellow parents to talk to their children about bullying. “Talk to your kids. I’ve even had friends of mine tell me they’re kids were only nice to him to get him to mess with people,” she said. “We all know how it feels to want to belong, but only a select few know how it really feels not to belong anywhere.”
Walker not only came to the boy’s defense but also invited the Jones family to attend a Titans game as his guest.
@DonteStallworth @Lakyn_Jones hopefully my video and the tweets that Keaton have been getting brings awareness to bullying and how serious it is in our school system pic.twitter.com/1Dujv3RxA5
