Kid Rock is looking forward to competing with Bad Bunny.

Earlier this week, Erika Kirk’s Turning Point USA revealed that Kid Rock would headline their “All-American Halftime Show,” which will air during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show performance.

“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom,” said Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet in a press release. “We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game. These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”

Kid Rock spoke to Benny Johnson about why he’s going up against Bad Bunny & the NFL.

“Half this country is underserved entertainment-wise, and just being a good capitalist, I want to give the people what they want, so if people don’t want to tune in to what’s going on there, and they want an optio.n

We’re simply gonna go play some great songs for our base. For people who love football, love America, and love Jesus.”

The rocker also talked about his mindset going up against the most-streamed artist in the world.

“This is a David and Goliath situation, and I’m David. One thing I’ve learned in the music business is nothing beats a great song.
