You know who is the last person I’d expect to be able to sell cars? LeBron James. As we saw in the Finals last year, sealing the deal isn’t exactly his specialty and, if there is one thing I learned from Glengarry Glen Ross, closing in sales is pretty fucking important.
By the looks of this Facebook post, Kia has recruited LeBron James to help sell K900s, a luxury sedan with a $55,000 MSRP that no one is really buying, according to Jalopnik. Autoblog has some speculation:
The special sedan appears to wear a red and black color scheme that we wouldn’t be surprised to see extend beyond the side grille to other blacked-out trim pieces (like the wheels, front grilles, mirrors, badges and window surround), but we’ll have to wait for Kia to reveal the full thing to say for sure. We may not have to wait very long, though, as the other accompanying hashtag seems to suggest it could debut at the All-Star game taking place this weekend.
We’ll have to wait to see what makes ‘Brons car so special. And if you live in Cleveland, you better have your eyes peeled to see if LeBron actually drives a Kia — instead of, say, a Ferrari — around town after this thing drops.
