There aren’t many current or former athletes who have a fan base that is as dedicated as that of former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant. But this time, Bryant’s fans may have taken things a step too far.

It’s not surprising that Bryant developed the cult following that he has. The NBA legend was the face of the league for a decade while leading its most popular team to five championships. Bryant’s following then grew even more dedicated when he tragically passed away alongside his daughter Gianna and several others in a 2020 helicopter crash.

In the years since the crash, Bryant’s fans have become extremely protective of his legacy. However, many have also formed a parasocial relationship with Bryant that borders on unhealthy.

Sadly, that relationship has come to affect Bryant’s widow, Vanessa, in negative ways.

Vanessa Bryant Addresses Rumors Of Pregnancy And Remarriage

In recent weeks, rumors have begun to surface that Vanessa was not only planning to remarry but also that she was pregnant. She and Kobe previously had four daughters together.

Amid those rumors, Kobe Bryant fans expressed their frustration with Vanessa, so much so that she needed to take to social media to shoot down the rumors personally.

“Can you guys decide already….am I pregnant for the 100th time or am I getting remarried?” she asked on her Instagram account.

Honestly, it’s incredibly sad that Vanessa Bryant even has to address these rumors to begin with. For one, her personal life is nobody’s business but her own and perhaps her family’s. Additionally, it’s ridiculous that anyone would believe she’s not allowed to seek out another relationship after Kobe’s passing.

For the time being, it appears that no, Vanessa Bryant is neither pregnant nor getting remarried. But even if she were, nobody should feel anything but happy for a woman who has dealt with immense tragedy in brave and impressive fashion.
