It’s been almost 15 years since David Stern introduced an (arguably racist) dress code that banned NBA players from rocking certain pieces of apparel like oversized t-shirts and jeans in an attempt to clean up the league’s image.
Not everyone was thrilled when the new policy was instituted, but over time, people would embrace the new regulations, and nowadays, a number of players not named Klay Thompson have taken an interest in fashion and pride themselves on their ‘fits.
Plenty of NBAers use their millions of dollars to employ stylists and keep their closets stocked with trendy clothes, and based on the evidence at hand, Kyle Kuzma is not one of them.
Over the weekend, the Lakers forward decided to hop on Instagram to show off an ensemble he put together and, well, I’ll just let you take a look for yourself.
I had no idea JNCO made cargo pants.
Kuzma’s outfit immediately caught the attention of players including Anthony Davis and Isaiah Thomas, who were more than happy to hop into the comments to let him know how they felt about it.

As Fadeaway World points out, Kuzma has previously showcased some bold looks to varying degrees of success—like this oversized jacket I’d argue he managed to pull off back in December.

However, I’d also argue Thomas hit the nail on the head with his verdict of “ain’t it.”
