Kyren Williams is having a fantastic second half to his second professional season. The 23-year-old running back has quickly become one of the top rushers in the league and will finish the year with more than 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Although the former Notre Dame star is able to break off big runs, he is most dangerous in one-on-one situations. Williams will either juke a defender out of his shoes or run him over.

He’s a tough dude and, apparently, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! His mother is equally as ferocious, as displayed during Sunday’s NFL game in New York.

Williams scored his third touchdown of the afternoon during the early portion of the fourth quarter and gifted the ball to his mother. It was a very clear handoff to one specific person, as you can see in the video below.

However, an unidentified Giants fan standing next to Mrs. Williams did not understand what was going on. It led to one of the more bizarre exchanges of the year as he wrestled with her for the ball.

Fortunately, the ball ended up in the hands of the rightful owner. Mrs. Williams ripped the ball out of the man’s arms and gave him a well-deserved nasty look.

The entire heated interaction was super strange and reflected really poorly on the New York fan.

First and foremost, Williams very clearly gave the ball to his mom — not the random man. Secondly, has he no courtesy to give the ball to the woman even if it wasn’t his mother? Why was he fighting her like that?

Kyren Williams even waved his hand and told the man to go away so that his mom could get the ball. He didn’t listen and continued to try and pry the ball away despite the running back’s very clear orders to stand down.

Shame on that guy!
