Kyrie Irving’s upcoming free-agency decision has been getting a ton of attention over the past few months, with the former No. 1 overall pick and six-time All-Star falling on that A-list of players who will become available this summer. From back alley meetings with fellow soon-to-be free agents like Kevin Durant, to media people trying to predict how things will shake down, Irving’s future has been in the news a lot lately.

While the one-time NBA champ (probably) has no damn clue what he’s going to do yet, there are plenty of people out there who want to speculate that Kyrie Irving’s already got his mind made up. One of the rumors out there as that Irving will reunite with former teammate LeBron James and create a superteam on the Los Angeles Lakers — which would be a pretty wild scenario given how their time on the Cleveland Cavs ended. And, whether he’s trolling people or has already decided LaLa Land’s where he wants to end up, Kyrie’s got people on social media freaking out because of his verified NBA 2K account.

That’s because Irving appears to be decked out in all Lakers gear in the fictional video game, which led to tons of people honestly believing that it’s a done deal that he’s headed west. Take a look at some of the images and reactions below.

It’s hard for me to believe that Kyrie Irving would be this naive leading up to the most important offseason of his entire life. While Brian Windhorst suggested that he could end up in L.A., Stephen A. Smith says there’s “no way in hell” it happens, going further by stating there are “95 percent odds” both Irving and Kevin Durant sign with the New York Knicks. So what can we make of this alleged Lakers gear on a pixelated, digital version of Kyrie Irving? Probably nothing, but, you know, it’s 2019 and Internet people can’t help but overreact to everything they see online.
