Chargers’ Brandon Staley is facing the heat from reporters after the team’s latest loss.
On Thursday night, the Chargers were absolutely embarrassed by the Raiders 63-21 and fans were immediately calling for his firing.
After the game, Staley had to field awkward questions from the media about his future with the team after the team’s embarrassing loss.
“Games like this happen in the NFL to every coach that’s ever coached in this league you can look at any great coach that’s ever coached in the league, sometimes games like this happen and I don’t need to retrace history but it’s just part of sports.”
“Sometimes there are games where it doesn’t go right, none of it. You have to put it behind you and you got to move on to the next thing.”
Chargers coach Brandon Staley at the podium, asked if he thinks he’ll have his job tomorrow—“I don’t know that.” Then asked if he thinks he should, he says, “Yes.”
Why?
“I know what I’ve done here for 3 years, I know what I’ve put into this … I know the type of coach I am.”

Staley tried to make the case about why he should still be the team’s coach after the 63-21 loss.
“I know what I’ve done here for three years and I know what I put into this and I know that we’re capable of going.
“I know the type of coach that I am. I believe in myself but again this isn’t about me. This is about a group that’s hurting in there. We’ve got to get some rest and we have to get ready for Buffalo.”
Reporter: "Do you expect to be the coach here tomorrow?"

It’s not looking good for Staley and he probably knows that.
