The signing helps to solve the offensive line issues that have plagued the Bengals in recent years and led to Burrow being sacked repeatedly in the playoffs. Now the Bengals have loaded up on O-Line signings in the offseason.
Their latest signing made sure to let Burrow know that things would be changing now that he’s a member of the Bengals. According to Bengals reporter Marisa Contipelli, Collins told Burrow that nobody would be touching him now.
Just spoke with La'el Collins who told me the first thing he said to Joe Burrow: "Your new bodyguard is in town, no one's touching you."

This has to be music to Burrow’s ears after being the NFL’s most sacked quarterback in 2021.
One can only imagine what Joe Burrow might be capable of with real protection in front of him. Burrow posted an impressive 4611 passing yards and 34 touchdowns and led the Bengals to the Super Bowl last season while regularly having to try and scramble away from oncoming rushers.
Now he should actually have time to throw to Jamarr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, and Hayden Hurst. That’s a thought that should cause some concern for opposing defenses around the league.
The Cincinnati Bengals had just about everything else working for them down the stretch last season, so if their upgraded O-Line really can keep Burrow untouched, then they should have a great chance to get back to the Super Bowl this season.
