The Los Angeles Lakers staged an impressive second half comeback last night, taking down the New York Knicks in an overtime win. The Lakers trailed by as many as 21 points early on but battled back with a strong third quarter in which they outscored New York 31-13.

Los Angeles was led by two of their “Big 3” stars. LeBron James landed a triple-double, scoring 29 points. James scored 12 points in the fourth quarter and overtime sessions to lead the Lakers back. Anthony Davis chipped in another 28 points and 17 rebounds in the win.

The third member of that so-called “Big 3” is guard Russell Westbrook, who had another off-night shooting the basketball. Westbrook was just 1-of-10 from the field, notching five points. It was the lowest total of any Los Angeles starter, continuing a trend that’s become all too common this season.

During the game, a graphic flashed of the three stars’ Saturday night performances. The clip took off on social media due to Westbrook’s poor play.

Westbrook has played well at times this year, but nights like these have become more and more common. It had folks on Twitter questioning whether or not Westbrook is worthy of having the “Big 3” status.

Most commented on the play of Malik Monk, who scored 29 points on the night. Luckily, he was able to provide the Lakers with a third scoring option with Westbrook struggling from the field. If these poor shooting woes continue, that “Big 3” could soon change in LA.
