If Baltimore opts to go this route, then teams will be able to offer Lamar Jackson a contract. However, the Ravens will have the option to match the offer or decline it for two first-round picks.
It’s interesting how this rumor is developing right now. The situation between Jackson and the Ravens doesn’t seem to be improving.
Even so, this might be the best decision the organization can make.
As for Lamar Jackson, it opens up many possibilities. We could see a legitimate bidding war once the free agent period begins.
With that said, all eyes will be on the superstar quarterback in the coming weeks. We’re sure the Ravens are going to continue trying to make a deal happen.
However, using a non-exclusive tag could really work in their favor.
