Hitting a full-court shot at the end of the first half is admittedly not as cool as doing it at the end of a game. But, #2 Purdue’s Lance Jones won’t complain about the incredible shot he hit to give #2 Purdue a 45-33 lead over #4 Marquette in the championship game of the Maui Invitational on Wednesday in Hawaii.

Take a look at the incredible shot.

You have to figure that’s a 75-foot shot when you add in the diagonal. And, he didn’t even need to bank it in! That’s an incredible touch from that far away.

After Marquette beat #1 Kansas on Tuesday in the semifinals, this game will likely determine who is the top-ranked team in the country in next week’s AP Poll. And, after an excellent first half by the Boilermakers on the back of reigning National Player of the Year Zach Edey, that desperation heave put quite the exclamation point on the half.
