One lawyer believes Jake Paul should be investigated ahead of his fight against Mike Tyson.
Last week, Paul went viral when he offered Tyson $5 million extra if he lasted more than four rounds in their fight on
“If you last more than four rounds with me, I’ll give you an extra $5 million. But if you don’t, then you have to get a tattoo that says ‘I love Jake Paul’.”
Combat sports lawyer Erik Magraken thought Paul’s wording of his bet could imply that he’s offering to pay Tyson to take it easy on him for the first four rounds.
Texas says this is a professional bout. Not an exhibition.
You can bet on it.
If you have a real sporting event with attempted side deals that can impact its outcome that’s not a good look.

The Texas Sports Commission replied to Makgraken and said they can’t regulate private bets between Paul and Tyson.
Wild.
Here’s what Texas just told me about the potential side Jake Paul side bet in a Pro bout saying Mike Tyson could be paid $5 million more if he just gets through 4 rounds.
I would not bet 1 penny on this circus. pic.twitter.com/ZsuxDu0Z7s

Magraken is now calling on Fanduel and DraftKings to speak out regarding Paul’s side bet with Tyson.
Hey @DraftKings @bet365 @BetMGM @FanDuel @FanaticsBook what do you guys think about this kind of a bet by athletes in a pro contest?
Does it impact the integrity of the event / wagers?
