LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers got booted out of the playoffs at the hands of Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray — who hit the game-winner with less than 4 seconds remaining — and the defending champion Denver Nuggets in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs by a score of 4-1 to one.

During their narrow 108-106 defeat to the Nuggets, frustration appeared to spill over when the NBA legend appeared to pretend to lunge at a fan in order to get her to flinch or scare her.

The fan was yelling at LeBron, apparently calling him a “f—— crybaby” while he complained about the refs.

Despite almost being 40 years old, LeBron was by far the Lakers’ best performer in the game as he put up 30 points, 11 assists, and 9 rebounds. None of his other teammates, including Anthony Davis, scored more than 19 points.

According to reports from the NBA world, LeBron intends to opt out of his contract with the Lakers this season and will become a free agent for the first time since 2018. The Lakers are reportedly ready to offer LeBron a maximum 3-year, $164 million contract (the most any team will be able to offer him) in addition to being open to drafting his son Bronny James, who recently declared for the 2024 NBA Draft after just one underwhelming season at the University of Southern California.

As for where else LeBron could wind up, both the Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors inquired about trading for him prior to the deadline. Returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers or playing with the Knicks in New York City have also been thought to be potential destinations for the four-time NBA champion.

With their win over the Lakers, the #2 seed Nuggets will face the upstart #3 seed Minnesota Timberwolves, who are coming off a sweep of the Phoenix Suns.
