NBA Commissioner Adam Silver would like LeBron James to make his decision already.

For the past month, James has been deciding where to play next season. As of today, the frontrunners to land LeBron James are the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, the Miami Heat, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

“The feel is those five teams remain in the mix, but a focus on Cleveland, Miami and Philadelphia,” said Charania on Tuesday. “And he’s made it clear he wants to be part of a team where he has a chance to compete for a championship. A new team environment and culture he can be a part of.

“The reason that this is taking so long and why he is able to take his time is this is not a money driven decision.”

James’ indecision is apparently causing scheduling issues for the NBA, which is waiting for him to decide so it can schedule its marquee games around him.

“We have to finish up the schedule and where LeBron plays affects the schedule … opening week, Christmas. So I need him to make a decision.” Silver told CNBC on Thursday.

During an appearance at Fanatics Fest, James assured fans he would make his decision soon.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, LeBron will be making his decision sometime next week.

“I’m told that James is nearing that decision and folks around the league are hoping it comes as early as next week”
