What was your biggest pressure at 13 years old? Going to the school dance with a huge pimple drenched in your dad’s cologne fighting the embarrassment of being too insecure to cut a rug? We are two birds of a feather, bro.
LeBron James Jr. is dealing with a more intense set of pressures. The 13-year-old is only entering eighth grade but must carry the blessing and curse of being the son of one of the greatest basketball players to ever live in an age when social media allows for your progress to be tracked down to the day.
Bronny, who now stands 5’10”, is one of the best young players in America and the hype train is picking up steam, catalyzed by his father saying his biggest dream was to play in the NBA with his son. Stop me if this sounds familiar but Bronny’s AAU games are attended by NBA stars and get so chaotic that one game needed to be canceled.
Although it’s too early to know what kind of prospect Bronny will become, he’s got the genes and resources to become something special.
We now have obtained the first dunk ever executed by the 13-year-old. Something tells me this is one of a billion.

Bronny Jr. graduates high school in 2023. Lets say the stars align and Bronny goes to college for a year before entering the 2025 NBA draft. LeBron would be pushing 40 by then, but Vince Carter is living proof that playing into your 40s is feasible. Would LeBron and his son winning a title on the same team be the greatest sports achievement in history? Food for thought.
