LeBron James was ejected from a game for the first time in his career during last night’s matchup against the Miami Heat after complaining about a no-call to referee Kane Fitzgerald (a stat that is even more impressive when you realize just how many times James has yelled at officials for not catering to his every whim during his time in the NBA). The incident meant we were treated to yet another asinine Twitter rant from Skip Bayless, but he wasn’t the only person to hop on the internet after James was sent to the locker room.
James was kicked out of the game at 8:53 PM, and a number of online sleuths realized a photo on Odell Beckham Jr.’s Instagram got a like from one “kingjames” at 9:03 PM— just eleven minutes after he got the boot.
The picture in question featured James rocking a pair of Beckham’s Jr.’s new Air Force 1, which is basically what Timberlands would look like if they were a sneaker:

While it certainly isn’t as bad as the pitchers on the Boston Red Sox 2011 roster drinking beer, devouring Popeye’s, and playing video games when they weren’t starting, it’s not exactly the best look for James (even if the Cavaliers did end up winning by a convincing 11 points).
James waited until after the game to hop on his own Instagram and rebrand the shoes he wore before getting tossed:
Sick reference, bro. Your references are out of control, everyone knows that.
