LeBron James will not be suspended for violating the NBA’s health and safety protocol and even his former teammate Richard Jefferson is having a laugh at the league’s expense.
Earlier this week, LeBron attended a promotional event for his tequila brand Lobos 1707 that featured several A-list stars like Drake and Michael B.Jordan in attendance.

Despite the fact that all guests had to produce proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result in order to attend, the NBA says LeBron broke protocol.
It’s a violation of the agreed upon protocols, and, as we have in other comparable instances around the league, it has been addressed with the team,” a league spokesman told ESPN on Friday.
It was later reported that LeBron would not be suspended due to the fact that it was a “lesser” violation considering everyone who attended was tested prior to the event.
LeBron James won't be suspended for protocols violation, sources tell ESPN. Nature of event didn't rise to a threat level of virus spread, as described in @McTen's story below. Suns-Lakers Game 1 on Sunday. https://t.co/nEAcnBsbvv

Jefferson, who played with LeBron in Cleveland, hilariously joked that the NBA’s health and safety protocols are a joke like their 2-minute report that reports if refs missed any calls at the end of games.
This is like the NBA’s 2 min report. Thanks for letting us know mistakes were made and ain’t nothing changing.🤣😂 https://t.co/ks54SxE6Kb
