Creating a mini museum out of the room Lionel Messi slept in is a bit ridiculous. Especially since it just looks like a regular hotel room. However, Qatar University clearly sees a money-making opportunity and they’re running with it. And who can blame them? Why not capitalize on a potential tourist attraction when it doesn’t cost you anything?
Could you imagine being so famous that the hotel room you stayed in is turned into a museum after you leave? Lionel Messi draws a bigger crowd than The Beatles and they consisted of four people. First, there was speculation that Argentina was putting Messi’s face on their currency. Now his room in Qatar is a mini museum. What a life for the soccer superstar.
